Pet Cemetary

Many people have never owned a pet before and they will not be able to understand your grief when
you lose one of your pets. Being a pet lover will make you consider the deceased pet as a
member of your family. You will be affected by his loss as if he is a human being and many people
will not understand your feelings toward your faithful friend. They will not support you. You will
feel all alone, no one understand how bad you feel.
Certainly, you will pass through a painful grief. You will be experiencing sadness and depression.
Definitely, you had a special relationship with your pet.  All pet lovers can understand that. But,
the problem will be for how long you are going to be in mourning? The mourning time varies
from one person to another. The only fact you have to deal with is that you lost part of your
daily life. You consider it a very important part. You are still looking for him. You are still waiting
for him to welcome you back home. Waiting for him to come back and play with you.

The loss may be dulled if you have kids or other family members who shared love for your pet. This enables
you to be able to talk about your late pet and share memories. It will be very helpful to keep yourself
busy. Some people arrange a place in their home-probably a shelf or so- to put the valuable
pictures for the past pet.
There is a lot of local humane societies can help, in case you cannot overcome your grief. Many
people go there to share their grief with others suffering from the same problem. There are

professional people who can help you with this.

Sometimes, the loss of your pet is very dramatic. If he is getting old and sick and you must
put an end to his life by yourself, it is very tough. It is a difficult decision to make, but you have to.
You must end his suffering. Of course, you will not feel guilty but  it will be very hard
on you. Then, you have to come up with a way to honor your pet. Whether you are going to
have a funeral for him or not? It’s quite hard on you and your family. But, you have to do what
will make you feel better.
Anyway, there will be a period of grief. Time will heal all your wounds. Then, most probably, you
will start looking for another pet. May be it will be difficult to get used to a new pet. But, it’s not
impossible. By time, you will get used to your new pet and you will love him even more than the
late one.
