First Days with you New Puppy
Bringing a new pet home is quite an exciting experience. You must welcome your new puppy as he is counting on you to introduce him to his new home. You should sit beside him and make him comfortable. The most important part is that you must be his friend, or his leader in the house. He must feel that you are the master and he must obey your orders. But, on the other hand you have to give him confidence and trust. If you cannot manage this you will never have full control over your pet.
If you have other pets at home you must introduce the new comer and make them welcome him, to make him feel that he is part of the family. This welcoming process must be under your control to avoid any misunderstandings. Moreover, you must give him a private place, so he can enjoy his privacy and have some peace of mind. This will be very important for him. Never punish him, you have to give him rewards or praise him whenever he does something right.
Puppies are very clean and smart. They are quick learners. You must be very careful when you treat them if you treat them badly you will be expecting a very bad mistakes. That’s exactly what will happen. You have to use a system similar to that you use with your kids. All puppies need exercise to stay fit and can live healthy. It will be depending on their age to estimate for them the type of exercise or training. You must hide everything that you considered valuable. It will take some time for him to differentiate between toys and your personal belongings. It will be quite a problem for you to leave electrical cords in front of him. You must keep them away from him like placing them behind furniture which will be a very good idea of course. If you have children it will be a good idea to tell them that the new member of the family has feelings exactly like them. They must treat him with love and care or otherwise they can expect similar behavior.
Nutrition is very important and you have to find the suitable food for him. Your diet will not be any good as he needs proteins, amino acids, fats and minerals to be a healthy dog. Puppies need to have 3 meals a day.
